After 14 years of advising and career development in higher education, John Nettles founded the Hiring Pool in August 2023 to provide accessible career coaching to help job-seekers better understand how to make the hiring process work for them. 

The Hiring Pool’s goal is to create a better conversation around career development, one that is uniquely tailored to individual needs. John uses a strengths-based, confidence-building approach to help participants focus on what they want to see from an employer, shifting the power dynamic in favor of the job-seeker.
